Journey to the Moon - the story of an astronaut
Visit to Croatia by Charlie and Dotty Duke
The Croatian non-profit society for the promotion of Christian values "Hope and Life" is honored to host Astronaut Charlie Duke, crew member of Apollo 16. Charlie Duke is a retired US Air Force brigadier general and the youngest of the 12 people who walked on the surface of the moon. His rich personal experience includes a military career as a test and fighter pilot, his time in the NASA program, and a successful business career as an entrepreneur and consultant.
Charlie is an experienced speaker and will share interesting details about their flight and three day stay on the moon, as well as answer questions as time allows. Also, he will speak about the tough challenges brought on by the long hours and demands of the space program, especially to his family life. We are honored to also host Dotty Duke, Charlie's wife, who will speak alongside Charlie at several events. Despite the fact that he had experienced the heights of his profession, Charlie concluded that true fulfillment is not found in material succcess or fame. He found peace instead in the person of Jesus Christ. His lectures have informed, motivated, and inspired thousands of people across the world.
